Waiting for the right one to appear on a national portal means competing with everyone else who saw it at the same moment. Knowing about it first is a real advantage, and it costs you nothing.
What I will ask you
To make this useful rather than noisy, it helps to know:
- Where you are actually willing to live. Village or rural changes everything about the search.
- Your honest commute tolerance. Worth testing before you decide — this is the part buyers most often get wrong.
- Whether you are open to a property needing work, or want something turn-key.
- Your timeline, including if it is "sometime in the next year, we are just watching." That is a perfectly good answer and it changes nothing about the service.
